Sun Healthcare Group buys 4 Massachusetts nursing homes (401 beds total)

According to a published report, Sun Healthcare Group Inc., of Albuquerque, NM, doing business as Harborside Massachusetts LP, purchased four skilled-nursing facilities from Nationwide Health Properties Inc., of Newport, CA, for $20.6 million. The properties totaled 120,142 square feet with a combined total of 401 beds. The sale was equivalent to approximately $51,372 per bed or $171.50 per square foot.

The Massachusetts portfolio includes:

  • the 32,917-square-foot Maplewood Manor at 6 Morrill Place in Amesbury;
  • the 29,237-square-foot Cedar Glen Nursing Home at 44 Summer St. in Danvers;
  • the 19,620-square-foot Northshore Rehabilitation Center at 266 Lincoln Ave. in Saugus; and,
  • the 38,368-square-foot Danvers Twin Oaks at 63 Locust St. in Danvers.
